Sally Miller, Executive Director
Sally is the Executive Director of Parkwood Village and The Landing at Parkwood Village. She has been with Bell Senior Living since January 2005. After graduating in 1970 from The University of North Carolina at Wilmington, Sally, an Eastern North Carolina native, began a long career in working with senior adults. Her various positions are many -- including DSS Case Worker; DSS Adult Homes Specialist; Director of Patient & Family Services at Beaufort County Hospital for 15 years; Corporate Director of Admissions for a major nursing home chain; Regional Sales / Marketing Manager for a major assisted living chain; and an Administrator at 3 assisted living communities prior to coming to The Villages. Sally also spent a few years as the Director of Music at 2 churches and worked in fine jewelry for a well-known department store. She has one son and one daughter, as well as one grandson and one granddaughter. Other than spending time with her grandchildren and working, Sally loves to play the piano, cook and collect cookbooks.

Nicci Franklin, Director of Sales and Marketing
Nicci Franklin is the Director of Sales and Marketing for The Landing at Parkwood Village. Nicci’s previous experience includes work with the North Carolina Assisted Living Association, outside sales for a medical equipment supplier, and serving as the Director of Community Relations for a Continuing Care Retirement Community. Nicci is a graduate of Ball State University, which is located in her home state of Indiana. Nicci and her husband Brad married in 2005. They currently reside in Rocky Mount with their two rescued dogs, Duke and Eli. In Nicci’s spare time she enjoys making fused glass jewelry, stained glass, and traveling.

Judy Parker, Business Office Manager
Judy has been the Business Office Manager at Parkwood Village since 2004 and has also recently taken over the same role at The Landing at Parkwood Village, our Independent Living Community. She "runs a tight ship" when it comes to her department and is helpful to all employees. Judy’s previous experience includes Assistant to the Executive Director at an assisted living competitor for 5 years and 22 years as a File, Shipping and Billing Clerk for Teledyne Thermatics, a well-known wire manufacturer. She has 2 grown children and 2 grandchildren and in her free time loves the beach and spending time with her family

Tammy Johnson, Director of Activities
Tammy is the Director of Activities at The Landing at Parkwood Village. She graduated from Saratoga Central High School, and after becoming licensed, she worked as a hairdresser for 20 years. Tammy was employed by the Town of Wilson for 5 years and also worked as a Nursing Assistant. She loves everything about activities and likes to keep busy planning events for the residents at The Landing. Married for 25 years, Tammy and her husband have 3 wonderful children -- 2 sons, Matthew, a college graduate working with Liquid Church; Cullen, a high school senior; and Haley, their 7 year-old daughter who is a second grader. Other family members are Sox, a Border collie; Daisy, their kitten; and Snowball, their 12 year-old cat. Tammy enjoys everything about life and truly loves people.

Peggy Maharaj, Director of Food & Beverage
Peggy Maharaj has been the Director of Food and Beverage at The Landing at Parkwood Village since prior to the opening in March 2008. She grew up in Rocky Mount where she attended and graduated from the public school system. She went to work with Stephenson’s Bar-B-Que and stayed five years. She wanted to have more of a career and had a chance to go to New York to Nathans’ Restaurant to train as a manager. She took the chance, staying with them for six years. Peggy is Ser-Safe certified and is in school to become a Certified Dining Services Manager.

Joe Justice, Director of Maintenance
Joe is the Director of Maintenance for The Landing at Parkwood Village. He is a native of Wilson, North Carolina and started his career at Wilson Memorial Hospital as an Inhalation Specialist Technician. After that, Joe moved into the safety field where he worked as a Safety Engineer with a construction company. Following a few years in this area, he began a new career with Bridgestone-Firestone, Inc., where after 32 years of service he retired. Joe came to The Landing when it opened in March 2008. He is married with 2 grown children and 4 grandchildren. In his spare time, Joe enjoys woodworking, including building furniture, hanging out with his grandchildren, and sailing. He has also recently ventured into the area of gardening and landscaping and involvement with Master Gardeners.
