Nicci Franklin, Executive Director
Nicci Franklin took over the role of Executive Director for The Landing in November 2008. Nicci’s previous experience includes work with the North Carolina Assisted Living Association, outside sales for a medical equipment supplier, and serving as the Director of Community Relations for a Continuing Care Retirement Community. Nicci is a graduate of Ball State University, which is located in her home state of Indiana. Nicci and her husband Brad married in 2005. They currently reside in Rocky Mount with their two rescued dogs, Duke and Eli. In Nicci’s spare time she enjoys making fused glass jewelry, stained glass, and traveling.

Kimberly Monroe, Business Manager
Kimberly Monroe started her career at The Landing in June as an Activities Assistant. In July, she was promoted to Business Office Manager. Prior to working for The Landing, she was a Flight Attendant for United Airlines, based in Chicago. Before flying, she was on Office Manager for an Insurance Agency, Amerilife and Health Services of Raleigh. She attended NC A&T SU in Greensboro immediately following high school for Communications, and is currently majoring in Business Administration.

Julia Bartlett, Director of Activities
Julia Wilson Bartlett comes to The Landing from the hotel industry. Julia began her hospitality career as a Director of Sales and was promoted to the General Manager of a 100-unit hotel. Julia is a native of England but currently lives in the Black Creek area. She has one daughter and a granddaughter. Julia loves to travel and has also lived in Spain.

Kenneth Johnson, Director of Maintenance
Kenneth Johnson took over as Director of Maintenance in May of 2009. His previous experience includes maintenance at Candlewood Suites of Wilson, warehouse manager for J.P. Weaver, Inc. for four years, and various fields of construction and repair for 32 years. Kenneth and his wife Paula married on April 15, 2000 and currently reside in Saratoga, NC. They have six children, one dog and one cat. Kenneth likes going to the beach (Myrtle and Daytona) and enjoys the sun.
